This was a simple dish done very very well. The soup was bursting with umami with the use mushrooms and kelp. The set came with sides of pickled ginger, rice and mapo tofu (I think) which were all lip-smacking good. Will definitely return next time I come to Tokyo. To assure vegans and Buddhist vegetarians, Komaki had a notice highlighting that they don’t use any dairy products, honey, garlic or onions. #tokyo #veganudon
