Kimchi Mac al Tori Ramen — Recensione di Iszy (18 ago 2024)

Tori's entry for the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge is kimchi mac! This was one of the entries I was most eager to try. They won the challenge last year with their vegan birria ramen, which is still on the menu!

This mac is made with a cheesy almond sauce and is topped with caramelized kimchi and toasted breadcrumbs. The sauce was slightly sweet which I actually enjoyed. The dish wasn't super saucy, it was just enough to cover the pasta and hold this dish together. There was a nice kick to this dish that slowly built up. I'm glad it wasn't as spicy as last year's entry! This was much more manageable. I didn't really find any kimchi on the Mac, but I think the red drizzle over it is like a kimchi sauce? It still tastes great and was so unique! And you really can't go wrong with breadcrumbs.
