This was a surprise and impromptu purchase at No Frills a couple months ago. I don’t remember how much I paid, but I partially bought for the opportunity to do another review, and partially out of curiosity. I don’t buy frozen prepared meals (and neither did my parents while I was growing up), so the thought of buying a frozen pasta dinner is new to me.
You can’t beat the convenience - 5-6 minutes in the microwave and it’s done. The taste isn’t bad. I liked it but wouldn’t describe it as great. It just doesn’t beat the taste of a homemade pasta dinner, but I’m certainly glad it’s available. The ‘ground beef’ and ‘cheese’ had to be veganized, otherwise the meal is naturally vegan.
I have a large appetite, so this did not fill me up, but it certainly satisfied me for a little while. The pasta meal provides 1/4 of your day’s worth of fibre, 25g of protein and is so rich in many other nutrients. Refer to the second photo - the Nutritional Facts table.
Surprisingly, there’s 5 mg of cholesterol. I wonder where this came from considering it’s a certified vegan product.
I would get this again.
