My family got together at Joey Sherway last week. My sister made the reservation and was assured that vegan options would be available for me. Sure enough, there were several vegetarian options on the menu that could be veganized. Thankfully our waitress was helpful in identifying the ingredients in the vegetarian dishes that could be switched out.

I ordered the Crispy Tofu Bowl; it was one of the vegetarian dishes. If I remember correctly, the dish has oyster sauce and another ingredient which stops it from being vegan. I just said “ do what you have to do to make it vegan.” When I compare the photo of my dish to other photos on abillion for the same dish, they’re very different. I guess they added the cucumber and radish slices and removed the two aforementioned ingredients. I don’t know if they added any spices / sauces in place of them. 

I absolutely loved whatever they did to this dish. It was very delicious and tofu was indeed crispy. The flavours blended well together. Refer to the second photo for a description of the dish. The price was $27.50 which I thought was a little steep but not unexpected.

I would definitely get this again. And I’d recommend it.
