Review of Pollo Tikka Masala w/ Arroz Basmati (Opción Vegana) at Pan y Circo by lordsnooks

This was absolutely divine. When I asked what the vegan option uses instead of chicken I got a bit worried when they said tofu. In my experience, non-vegan establishments don’t have a clue how to make tofu tasty, and they usually seriously fail to season/marinate it beforehand. But my scepticism was blown out of the water with this. The few good chunks had the perfect texture and the sauces were heavenly creamy and rich. Although it looked great I was a bit annoyed with the choice of standing the bread up in the sauce instead of cleanly at the side. It kind of ruined the point of using the bread to eat it without getting the sauce in your hands. I’m not even sure what the flatbread was but it definitely wasn’t naan. Still, the whole dish was very tasty and worth the high price in my opinion!
