Review of Vegan Benedict at Cafe 33 by alicesabrina

Toasted crumpets topped with avocado, homemade vegan chorizo, salsa rossa & vegan hollandaise sauce. £10. I added mushrooms for an additional fee.
I found the crumpets absorbed quite a bit of moisture from the sauce which made them a tad too soggy. Personally I would have preferred this dish with muffins, but I do applaud them for trying something a little different here. Points for originality.
All of the flavours worked well together here. The chorizo had a little kick to it, which balanced well with the creamy hollandaise sauce.
For £10, it's fantastic & filling enough for a breakfast option but not leaving you feeling heavy afterwards.
