Tastes good. Tastes like seaweed. It’s got a nice oceanic umami flavor. I mix about a teaspoon worth of Maine Coast Sea Vegetables Triple Blend Flakes in with whatever savory meal I have throughout the day to get my daily iodine intake. It usually just disappears into the dish depending on the dish. I’m glad it doesn’t have too potent of a flavor. It’s more of a supplement than a seasoning for me. A teaspoon of flakes gives you about 168 mcg of iodine.
The container has a pretty simple design, nothing too fancy. The back has quite a bit of information about how to use the flakes, where and how the veggies are harvested, health benefits, and a link for more info. It is USDA Organic. It also has a P65 warning on the container because sea vegetables can be contaminated with chemicals.
I bought this at my local, natural foods market. I don’t remember how much I paid for it there but I found it online for $7.55. Pretty pricy.
