Cranberry Pecan Tart from @happylittletreats.sn 🍭
This pastry is a seasonal item circa January 2024. Filled with cranberry jam and pecans, and beautifully coated with pink frosting and (more) chopped pecans. Truly pleasing to the eyes.
The cranberries were a great choice for a pop tart. They are tart, with a citrusy flavor and a little sweetness that adds depth to the moist center. Speaking of depth, mine was stuffed! So big and very filling. The outside was good and flaky too. Maybe just a tad bit crunchy around the edges but nothing egregious. The pecans were a fun choice that looks pretty and texture wise contrasts the soft cranberry jam center.
I'm a huge fan of contrasts that complement so this one won me over big time. I give it a 9.25/10. Highly reccomend it if they still have some. & A big thank you to my good friend Mazzy Grisak for the Happy Little Treats reccommendation, I'm so glad I got to try this!
