"Enjoy a Big Honkin' Sandwich while lounging in Dolores Park" 🌈
Dolores Park has lovely views of the San Francisco skyline and is one of the best parks in the city. It is perfect for picnics and just a few minutes walk from Turner's Kitchen. Turner's Kitchen does not have seating so picnicking in Dolores Park is a great option.
Turner's Kitchen is not a vegan establishment but it seems like they can veganize everything by using vegan cheese and Prime Roots amazing plant-based cold cuts made from koji.
I first learned about this place from Prime Roots during their free sandwich giveaway promo for #nationalsandwichday last month. My first sandwich was free but the sandwiches are SO delicious that we keep coming back for more.
@kyu reviewed this sandwich and it looked so good that I had to try it myself! This is a big hearty sandwich packed with toppings and bursting with flavor! It has koji turkey from Prime Roots, vegan cheese, avocado, roasted sweet red peppers, jalapeno lime mayo. It comes on sour dough but I also tried it on ciabatta and I loved both! They were both tasty but the ciabatta held the sandwich together better.
We got an extra sandwich and ate it hours later and it still tasted fresh and delicious and wasn't soggy at all. We also loved loved their Muffaletta and Godfather III vegan sandwiches. Great service at this place too!
