Super Tacos al La Esquina Vegetariana — Recensione di Ire U. Dobles (12 giu 2023)

I know this looks like a hot mess, but I swear it’s a delicious one! Buried under all that cabbage with vegan ketchup and mayo, are the most delicious #vegan #tacos ever. In Costa Rica 🇨🇷 we make tacos different than in Mexico, our tacos (which we actually call “tacos ticos”, because “tico” it’s how you refer to something that’s from #costarica) are made with a rolled up #tortilla that we deep fry so it becomes a hard shell tortilla. So they’re like hard rolls, usually stuffed with beef, but of course these one are stuffed with deliciously spiced #soybeef and we put on top a sort of slaw made with #cabbage and just ketchup and mayo.
These had such a delicious flavor, they’re called “super” because they’re huge and they come with tasty fries.
These were great value at only $8, for 2 huge tacos with slaw and fries.
This restaurant is 100% vegan and one of my favorite in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 I recommend it to everyone who goes there, don’t be misled by the name, they changed it a couple of years ago the The Vegan Corner instead of The Vegetarian Corner. Great service, great food, they offer eco takeout.
This dish was as good as expected for this restaurant.
