I picked up this little carton of Daiya vanilla creme ice cream at Grocery Outlet a few months ago. I don’t remember the price, but it was substantially less than what you would pay at the local grocery store.
For whatever reason, it’s not easy finding plain vanilla plant-based ice cream. Thankfully Daiya has some.  This ice cream needs to sit / thaw for about 5-10 minutes before digging into it. And its taste is worth it. It truly does taste like vanilla ice cream. I unfortunately didn’t wait long enough before scooping the ice cream into the bowl. I’m impatient. Had I waited another couple minutes, the ice cream would have been softer and smoother.
On the nutritional values front, there seems to be an awful lot of calories, fat and sugar in each serving. But it’s a delicious source of fibre.
I’d buy this again and would be interested in other flavours from Daiya.
