This was tied for our favourite dish, along with the first course. This was described as Maitake mushrooms, panisse and chanterelle garum. It was insanely amazing! The mushroom sauce was unreal. I literally used my finger to lick the plate. The crispy seed cracker was so fluffy. The marinated mushroom was just wow. And the little pattie reminded me of a polenta cake, but different. And the pea shoot leaves were also so good. When you put them all together for one bite, just wow. PERFECTION!

My bestie and I went to Avelo together and it was the greatest dining experience I have ever had, ever. They only do 5 tables per time slot. There is the 5-course time and the 8-course time. We chose the 5-course and I couldn't dream if eating the 8-course one. I was #SOFULL. LOL!

The ambiance was out of this world - just look at the photos! Our waiter had only 2 tables and he basically walked us through each bite. He was so attentive. He was the owner. So sooooo kind and cool. They had been reviewed by the Michelin star people, but sadly (and wrongly) did not get a star. But people: this is Michelin-star food! All of this for only $90 after tax and tip! It was insane! My friend and I decided that we will be going once a year at least! #sustainable #fairwages #farmtotable #locallysourced
