Vegan Collagen del Alpha Foods (Supplements) — Recensione di Laila (4 lug 2022)

So here’s a story about a girl who bought something she didn’t need.
One day I stumbled across an article about, supposedly, a problem called “vegan face”.
The article claimed vegans have gauntly, older-looking skin caused by lack of protein in their diets 🤦🏻‍♀️ But I believe I eat enough protein, and animal protein being superior is just a myth.
Well, it doesn’t matter what I believe: somehow I got so influenced by this article (there’s a chance it was two in the morning and I couldn’t fall asleep 🙈) that I made a quick google search on collagen. So I found out that, of course, collagen is nowhere to be found in a vegan diet, but! a blend of amino acids can help your body create it.
So I ordered this “vegan collagen formation support” supplement.
After one month of taking it, I don’t see a visible difference in my skin but I think my nails are a little bit stronger.
About the supplement: the taste is not good but I don’t mind it, the only problem is that you have to mix it with a lot of water and let it sit for about ten mins. This is something I found out one day I forgot to drink it and it was so much better! Otherwise, it’s just murky water with these chunky lumps of powder that didn’t mix.
Moral of the story: don’t read scary articles about a vegan diet at night.

Haha, don't worry, I've been there too! I love the collagen scare mongering especially. Even if you eat animal collagen it gets broken down into the same amino acids before its rebuilt as collagen in your body. But carnists need to find justification wherever they can, sigh. Nevermind, at least you know you're getting all the right amino acids too, so I don't think it was a waste 😄❤️😊
