An absolute staple for me. It’s made of fermented coconut nectar and sea salt 🌴🧂. So, sweet and salty, what’s the big deal?
Well, for many, the much lower sodium level and simple ingredients compared to tamari or soy sauce is pretty compelling. Most important for me though, it saved tons of counter/pantry space.
Granted, it doesn’t have the same depth and complexity you get from soy sauce, hoisin sauce, teriyaki sauce, etc. But what it lacks in complexity, it compensates in dexterity.
Now I don’t need to always add some sweetener to balance out the saltiness of soy sauce. And I can always add less of it and a pinch of salt if I want more savory taste. For more flavor, I can also add in other seasonings. It plays the notes of all these other condiments in one bottle, not as a master, but good enough for day-to-day use.
I only wish TJ had this in bigger bottle to save me some trips and possibly lesser environment impact♻️
