Honestly I love oat flakes more than anything else! They're a healthy grain base (ask google about the nutrients, it's incredible), you can do sooo many different things with them (also savory meals like patties with oats and beans or hot vegetable porridge) and they don't have to be cooked as long as rice or pasta. They're regional and cheap. I prefer these thinner rolled oat flakes (the classic ones) for sweet recipes and the coarser ones for savory meals. This package costs 0,49€ only and it's plastic free.
