Maíz precocido para pozole del Supremo’r — Recensione di Abi (7 mar 2021)

Here I share with the @abillion10 family a very traditional dish that I prepared: “pozole” (Pic 1) with maize I bought (pic 2) Pozole is a traditional Mexican dish 😻
Pozole contains 3 main ingredients 1) Guajillo chilies 🌶[the two types puya and long] 2) maize [must be -cacahuazintle type- and as in this case 3) oyster mushrooms as the meaty texture [final preparation pic 3].
We often add dry oregano 🌿 lettuce 🥬 and radish on top 🙌🏽

We (my mother and I spent between 4-5 hours in the preparation of this pozole. We as Mexican think that gather and cook together around the kitchen is an essential in all families ❤️❤️ I grew up around the kitchen seeing how my family cooked and then cooking myself. Cook and share food is the way so many Mexican families show their love 💕
This is a special dish for me because I share the meal with my non-vegan family and they really enjoyed it and did not complain the lack of meat 🙄

Pozole .........oh...I’m so nostalgic......abi you are killing me! Where I live there is no hominy. Whenever I see it (canned) I drag it home for miles and make pozole. I did not grow up in a cooking family, but my sister is very fun in the kitchen so I have memories with her. Your pozole looks amazing, different than the New Mexican version I grew up eating. Sigh....
