There are only a few things I’d willingly splurge on, and a high quality ceremonial grade matcha is one of them🍵 I was introduced to Ippodo a few years ago and their matcha is probly my favorite.
This one is one of their current limited editions. It took 3 weeks (from Phili to NYC only!) to deliver, but it’s absolutely well worth the wait.
The aroma itself is bright and a bit grassy, nothing particularly special to my amateur’s nose. But the taste!! Just one sip is enough for me the justify the price tag☺️ It’s smooth, medium bodied yet creamy at once, almost like there’s milk in it. The flavor is on the sweeter side but leaves a pleasant umami aftertaste. I felt so spoiled even though all together it’s just under 2 oz.
For anyone who loves matcha, I highly recommend it💚
