The Indian stall is lacto-vegetarian. The briyani and some dishes contain ghee/butter; do check with the staff before making your order. The chapatti, plain rice and samosas are vegan, but do check again to confirm. The stall-keeper kindly offered me a mix of chapatti and rice, seeing how I agonised over the two choices. The rice leaned towards the slightly harder side but wasn’t unpleasantly hard, which gave it a nice bite. The small bowl of vegetarian soy-based ‘mutton’ curry was the star of the show — the slightly thick curry tasted a little like not-too-salty salted egg paste, though the entire stall does not sell eggs and egg products. The other small bowl had a lighter, less viscous curry with carrot and potato inside. The masala potato chunks were well cooked and had a nice bite to them as well. All in all, this meal had a wonderful mix of different flavours and textures, with the crispy cracker adding yet another dimension! #nuseats #indianfood #chapatti #rice #curry
