🌱Kaya Pandan! A flavour that's not exactly up my alley, but so apt for National Day. Fun fact is the kaya came from their self made kaya, which uses pumpkin as a base. 🍬I'd say this is reflective of the traditional kaya, meaning pretty sweet. So definitely more for the people with sweet tooth, or craving tradition. 🥥Topping with toasted coconut flakes adds aesthetics and textural contrast. 🧇Waffle as a background filler... 🤩I finally got to try this dish! 👍🏻I was somewhat hesitant as I don't love deep fried foods, but they were kind enough to accommodate a change to their curried tempeh. So that's why it looks different. 🎃The sauce is tasty, but not heavy. Pumpkin is such a great, and pretty nutritious ingredient, to make creamy sauces. The sweetness adds a layer of complexity to the savoury seasonings, which give the "salted" flavour profile. 🍝Udon is pretty chewy. 🧇 This was really good. The waffle was soft but crunchy outside, and the taste was really good. I was expecting some chocolate, like in the picture, so that was a bit disappointing. However, the syrup was also tasty. I chose pistachio ice cream and I was really happy about it. It was one of the best I've ever had. 🌱 Completely vegan restaurant. 🍲 It consisted of some vegetables in tomate souce (too spicy for me), the tofu scramble (really good), and "chorizo" (my favourite part), accompanied with a salad and pita bread. I couldn't really enjoy the main dish, because it was so spicy for me. I would have liked it is was stated in the menu. Otherwise, the tofu and chorizo were really good. 🏠 💁 Vegan restaurant outside the city center. It is a nice place. 🌱 Completely vegan. They have so many original options. 💲 The price was 14.50 SGD. The shakshuka used to be a solid pick, but it feels like it’s lost its appeal. The tomato base and vegan sausage are still decent, but the tofu scramble portion seems noticeably smaller than what they used to serve. Much like their BBQ sausage pizza, it’s another dish that feels a bit run down compared to what it was a few years ago.

WellSmoocht in Jurong East used to be one of my favorite spots a few years ago. But over time, the prices went up and the food quality went down. My favorite was the vegan chick pizza, which sadly seems to have been discontinued. I’ve tried different versions of their BBQ pizza over the years and each one felt like a step down. This BBQ sausage with cashew cheese was no exception. At $19.90, it just doesn’t feel like a good deal anymore.

Had this 2-waffle scoop with dark chocolate and pistachio ice cream. The waffles were really nice, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, just the kind I like. The dark chocolate ice cream was good too, rich and satisfying without being too sweet. The pistachio scoop, though, was a bit of a letdown. The flavor didn’t really work for me and felt a little off.

Absolutely love the vibes in here. Shakshuka tastes real good especially the pita bread. The salad can be put inside the pita and dipped into the base. It has soy sausages in it with the tofu that acts as an egg. The taste buds go real phenomenal over these one. I've heard Soul Kind Cafe which was another vegan friendly cafe got closed down in the same street. Sad to hear that, trying my best to support these restaurants with inflation toiling us around.

🍨 Chocolate ice cream. As it stated "dark" I was expecting something else. I usually love dark chocolate ice creams, so this one was too "light" for me. I wouldn't repeat. But if you like this kind of chocolate, you will like it. 💁 🏠 🌱 They have a lot of vegan ice creams, and also a vegan cone. Being a whole vegan place, I would expect them to have more "different" or "special" flavours. 💲 One ball was 3.80 SGD (2.60 €), while double is 6.50 SGD. Adding a cone is + 0.50 SGD. 🥪 Sándwich with herbed focaccia, bbqute tempeh, purple cabagge, vegan mozzarella, and hoysemade melty cashew cheese. It also felt like it had peppers os something like that. The taste was just wonderful. I loved the cheese. The bread looked "white" but it was pretty crunchy. It also includes a side (shoestring fries, green salad, marinated broccoli, or sea salt seaweed chips). I choose the broccoli and it was okay. I expected it to be a bit more savoury. It was also kinda raw in my opinion. 💁 There were two girls attending and they were really nice. 🏠 It is a small vegan place it a quiet residential area. It had also something that looked like a co-working area. 🌱 Everything was plant based. They have a lot of different things, I'll definitely come back to try some more! 💲 12.5 SGD. I consider this a standard price for Singapore. Maybe a bit expensive, not being in the city center, but I think it is worth it.
