I tried this place a few years ago and wanted to check it out again. This cafe offers a lot of healthy home style Mexican dishes; it’s a great place to eat when you want to eat out without the guilt. I got the chicken enchiladas with red sauce, (they offer red sauce, green, and mole). For the filling it had zucchini, 🫑, 🧅, 🍄 , tofu & chicken. My partner got the mole burrito with a very vibrant spinach tortilla. The fillings were the exact same as mine with the only difference being the sauce on top. Both were paired with rice & beans. I wouldn’t say this place is “fantastic” but it is good. The food reminds me of something I’d make at home, its good but not top tier restaurant tasting good… you know? I would return when I want something healthier and light.

The chilaquiles at the Grain Cafe are awesome! The corn chips are crispy and the sauce is tasty. Every time I eat this when I'm done I want more. Not because the portion size isn't adequate, but just because they're so dang delicious! This is a slightly old picture so you won't see this, but lately I've started ordering this dish with extra avocado and I ask them to add some vegan chicken too. It's a small extra charge but it's so worth it. #chilaquiles #mexicanfood

The Grain Cafe always has a beautiful display case of baked goods. Once in a while I just can't resist. This cake tastes as good as it looks! I forgot to snap a picture before taking the first couple bites. It's moist, rich, chocolatey, and has the perfect amount of sweetness. It's sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Didn’t enjoy this dish. The syrup was super runny and not very sweet. The bread wasn’t a good texture. The presentation was beautiful but this dish wasn’t.

Overall pretty good value for how filling it is. The vegan sausage was super yummy. I liked the waffles but my partner who is super anti banana said they had a banana taste to them avoid if not a banana fan I guess. The tofu scramble needed a bit of a kick but service was a little slow so I didn’t really want to ask for salsa/hot sauce/pepper/salt. Everyone was super nice though.
