#todayilearned that #Starbucks in Indonesia is much more expensive than in Singapore. A S$34.90 tumbler costs around S$55 here in Batam City. Even the #plantmilk options are more expensive; usually S$0.90 for all kinds of milk in Singapore, and over here, it costs S$1.90 (for oat) and $0.85 (for #soy). No wonder not many locals visit the cafes here; it’s simply too expensive for them. I’m not in the mood for paying more than a dollar for plant milk. Hence I got this #dirtymatcha drink with #soymilk. 😭 Oat milk tastes better in matcha 🍵 Service was quick; the barista spoke English well, so it was easy to customise my drink. The #espresso portion tasted slightly burnt 🥲 but the matcha was good. I guess I’ll get the #matcha without #coffee. Oh, I spotted only one #vegan option in the pastry display case; a vegan chocolate chip cookie for around S$2.
