🇲🇦🌱 This #moroccan #vegetables tajine was lovely served with complimentary #bread and hot sauce on the side. This had🥔🥕🫛 #potato #carrot #greenbeans #courgettes #zucchini and hidden #cauliflower. Almost all their dishes have some #chickpeas too which is great for more #protein. Total #veganrestaurant and only one in the city possibly. Only 40 MAD. #traditionalfood complimentary starter of banana and olives.

🇲🇦 Beautiful wholesome #moroccan #cauliflower tajine with #lemon. 🍋We both loved this one. The tajines came out bubbling and steaming and scarily hot. 🔥♨️It’s quite dramatic when the lid to the tajine comes off. 40 MAD which is like €4. Amazingly cheap so we ended up ordering way too much food. Lovely woman running the tiny place. Indeed we had a long wait as they make everything from scratch here. Thankfully she didn’t have to go shop for any of the ingredients which I read can sometimes be the case. We weren’t ravenously hungry this time and there’s a complimentary starter of banana🍌 and 🫒olives to keep you going. #traditionalfood #african #veganrestaurant #saveveganrestaurants

🇲🇦🍵 Our first #minttea in Morocco was lovely! Even the fussy French loved it. We didn’t need any sugar even though they offer fun huge sugar cubes. The mother running this place seems so kind and warm and has her children helping her. It’s so inexpensive here. This was only 10 MAD or €1. We are going back for dinner tonight. #traditionalfood #moroccan #drink #tea Definitely a must visit place if you visit Essaouira. #veganrestaurant #saveveganrestaurants

🇲🇦 #lentils #soup here that is wholesome and homemade. #moroccan There’s quite a large complimentary loaf of bread served with this that we greedily devoured not realising we could have saved half to eat with our tajine later. But she brought another whole one for the tajine. Doh. I suspect this is a #pumpkin base. Fully #veganrestaurant here and possibly the only one in Essaouira. #traditionalfood #african #saveveganrestaurants 20 MAD equivalent of €2

🇲🇦 We were so pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food is and how generous the owners are. To be honest I’m not sure if this is the #vegetables #soup or the lentilles one. They looked very similar and I thought they’d taste the same. But no, not at all. I imagine it’s #pumpkin and #carrot with the color. It was warm and wholesome and comforting with a drizzle of oil on top. It’s served with complimentary loaf of bread too. After reading reviews we were prepared for long waits as everything is cooked from scratch but it was pretty quick. We were the only customers to prepare for at that time though. 🇲🇦🥕🥔 Best #couscous of my life and tasted really nutty in parts. This🌱 #veganrestaurant run by a mom and her kids does great #moroccan food. The #vegetables on this couscous were #courgettes aka #zucchini #carrot and #potato. I was thrilled with some #chickpeas too for more #protein. I was thinking we needed this as a carb with the tajine but that came with bread. I loved the couscous though so will definitely want to try the other ones too. Tiny place with only three tables outside. Two are covered. It’s right on a square in the medina so you can watch the world go by. #traditionalfood The fussy French wants to go everyday. 40 MAD

🇲🇦🍆 This looks like possibly the only🌱 #veganrestaurant in Essaouira so of course was our first stop. It’s run by a mom with her children. They have a huge menu of #moroccan cuisine for dirt cheap. This might be my first tajine. The fussy French is a fiend for #aubergine aka #eggplant. This came to the table bubbling and red hot which was fun. I was so pleased to see there were #chickpeas as well as other veg like🎃 #pumpkin and maybe 🥕carrot, 🍅tomato, and 🧅onion. It was very mildly seasoned and spiced which was the fussy French’s only critique. He was immediately dreaming of going back the next day to try more of the menu. #traditionalfood 40 MAD #saveveganrestaurants #african It came with a big piece of complimentary bread cut in parts to make it easier to take off bits. They also served complimentary banana slices and olives to start.
