Selection of Confectionary & Bon Bons. LOVED the candied fruit, and sugared almonds 💕 I am not really a cake person - so would have preferred to have more of the small delicacies & less of a big wedge of cake.

Soft sponge cake, rhubarb, whipped cream decorated with elegant edible flowers. Superbly tangy & sweet - the cake was so light fairies could have lifted it off the ground!

Croquettes with Basil Pesto, Cacio e Pepe Aioli, vegan Parmesan So happy we chose to add these to what was already a big order! They have a really punchy flavour & the aioli is to die for 💕

Red Wine & Paprika Red Bean Sausage, Maitake Mushroom, Yogurt Charmoula Morcilla is a traditional Spanish blood sausage. It was encased and on the dry side - the combination with the mushroom & yogurt was a real revelation. While great - I do think this restaurant is a little over-priced. But it’s in Yaletown… so… makes sense.

Wellington with sautéed Greens, Pickled Shimeji, Miso Mustard, Berry Peppercorn Jus Have marked this down as it was special enough for the HIGH cost. It is a small portion & the mushroom flavour doesn’t fly off the plate. I would prefer a more earthy umami - it would have been on the bland side if it weren’t for the jus and miso mustard.

Mushroom. Spring Pea and Asparagus Puree, Pickled Saffron Pearls, Nori Crisps This dish looked SO amazing. Utterly beautiful & convincing. The only drawback is that the mushroom scallop itself doesn’t have a strong or sea-like flavour. I feel they are missing a trick here.

Overall nice presentation with a nice texture from the tempura crust at the side of the seaweed. Taste of tofu could have been seasoned for more flavour. Unique sushi idea that’s excellent for sharing.

The filling is mushroom and water chestnut, but it’s the rayu sauce that gives the dumpling a nice spicy kick similar to mala. Dumpling skin was thick and soft to chew. Tasty and refreshing.

I’ve never had a vegan mushroom Wellington at a restaurant before. It was quite good. Had different types of wild mushrooms, sautéed greens and pickled shimeji mushrooms. And a spicy miso mustard. Would have preferred if the Wellington piece was a bit bigger tho for the price. Overall nightshade is a delicious and unique vegan restaurant in a nice part of downtown van
