Pretty sweet and spicy. Amazing texture so it was cooked well. Not a vegan restaurant but half a vegan menu. LGBTQIA owned.

Lots of (labeled) vegan options at Lucky Lotus. This dish was quite good; the vegetables and tofu were cooked well. The sauce was tasty but had a flavor I couldn’t quite nail down, it was savory and had a lot of umami flavor.

This traditional dish with tofu was good! I chose mild spice and that level still had a kick. Generous portion meant I had lunch for the next day. Very pleased with this meal.

“Gelatinous fruity pebbles” is how my friend described the appearance, and it honestly kind of fits the taste, too. It was a little too sweet for me once I really got into it, but still enjoyed. I liked the combination between real fruit and the jelly-like bits. A pretty lil cold treat for the end of summer 🌈

The outside crunch and the (not overly) sweet interior is sooo good! I wish they’d make more sesame balls with different fillings! “Deep fried sticky rice flour coated with sesame seeds and stuffed with a sweet mungbean, coconut, and taro mixture. Its the perfect crispy texture with a little bit of chew and the perfect sweetness” $6 for 3

Flavor is great, not too sweet and the batter reminds me vaguely of funnel cake, yet it works so well. The batter is too hard though, and the dish isn’t worth the $14 it costs

First of all, pardon the unattractive photo! These are really delicious and just how I remember egg rolls to be. Only complaint is that they are extremely oily. You don’t really notice it much while they’re fresh, but going back for them later on and having them sopping wet from the oil isn’t very appealing lol. Still taste good though. Will still continue ordering. It’s $4 for 2. 🙂

Whoa! So good! It’s $12 for a bowl, but a truly huge serving. The bowl is probably 3” deep, it ended up being 3 meals for me. I believe it’s $10 with no tofu. In order for this to be vegan, it needs to be ordered with the “vegan” option (when ordering online at least) with no egg. The restaurant itself is great, all vegan friendly choices are clearly marked and easy to alter. It has a great atmosphere. Online ordering is an easy and efficient process which I appreciate a lot, too.

This plate is huge and so flavorful. It is one of the few times I will eat broccoli too! Make sure you remind them vegan/NO EGG when ordering though!

I’m a midwestern white girl so most Asian folks look at me sideways when I talk about my deep love and affection for green papaya salad. But I’m a devotee x 10. It is almost impossible to find on a menu sans fish sauce. But Lucky Lotus has it made to order. I gave them my recipe for vegan fish sauce and with that addition now my world is complete! I have discovered the best Green Papaya Salad ever!!! (Affectionately referred to as GPS). You know this is good stuff because my white girl friend, meet eating friend who hails from deep, deep Southern Texas is now also a huge fan. And she had both versions and said the vegan kind is far superior. Woo hoo!
