I’m back home in SG for a little, so I decided to hit up one of my favorite vegan waffle + ice cream spots and it did not disappoint! I got the black sesame ice cream instead of the usual matcha to switch it up, and I can’t recommend it more!

Caffetteria giapponese con una vasta scelta di prodotti vegan- gelato, matcha latte, waffles etc. Questo waffle col gelato matcha era davvero squisito. Porzione gigante!

This is a really nice #roasted taste 👅 starting out slightly #sweet and #bitter, with a lovely tea fragrance that lingers for at least 5-10 seconds with the creaminess of the soy milk 🍵🥛 It is on the pricey side of $8.50 which goes up to $10 if you get oat milk 🌾 but well it is a treat in my opinion and i do love it a lot!

Really good #tea and i regretted drinking it at that time cos I was just hella awake afterwards till past midnight like 2-3 am haha #caffeine be real strong 🍵💪🏼 It’s not sweet 🍬 but it has a good balanced #bitterness which is really appreciated topped with some toasted puffs? delicious and a real treat and i guess for the #quality, the price of $5.90 + $1.60 for the ice 🧊 is… better than big chains haha

#sweetpotato is definitely a more unique flavour for an ice cream (it is not yam!!!) 🍠 I would personally love it to be smoother as this feels a little too textured still? Feels like coarsely ground sweet potato… i don’t know… But the colour purple is pretty for sure!! 💜

My friend and I had ice cream and he was pleasantly surprised that it tasted so creamy like “regular gelato” 🍨 There is a creamy texture, mild #oat like tastes with a little hint of vanilla, lovely and classically comforting flavor

This exquisite chocolate mousse cake tastes as good as it looks. It had a layer of tangy raspberry compote buried in the middle that added a nice twist to the smooth earthy chocolate mousse. #singapore #vegancake #vegandessert

Most expensive drink I’ve ever bought in relation to its serving size. This was literally two small sips and it was gone. SGD 5.90 for that… not worth it imo. Tasty but simply overpriced

Chewy just like mochi inside, while crispy on the outside! Cinnamon is quite prevalent in the waffle, nicely adding to the matcha gelato it comes with. I also added goma gelato. Unfortunately they were out of all their pastries (Saturday brunch time) 🥲

Apparently this isn't vegan any more in Hvala Craig's new menu 😢 A semi-solid swirly casing of black sesame conceals a soft cloud of oat cream all sitting on a base crust that's hard to cut tbh, but the overall experience is enjoyable. Love goma although it tastes a little sweeter than expected here. Going to miss this!

I have a massive backlog of reviews but when I recently heard that Hvala Craig is no longer fully vegan I had to post this. It was such a delightful blend of light sponge and bittersweet houjicha-infused cream in this generous slice of cake - so sad to hear this isn't available at what used to be the only all-vegan Hvala branch any more.
