'San chen rou' or three-layered pork, is a traditional Chinese dish. This imitation mock meat, while looking quite realistic, was super salty. Loved the string beans - these were nicely sauteed with dried chilli and packed some nice heat.

Also known as napa cabbage, this wong bok with black fungus, carrots and enoki mushrooms was simply stirfried and served as one of the few remaining pick-and-choose selections at dinnertime. It was lovely.

Overall the dishes here were not too oily. Quite well cooked but need to come early and food will be freshly cooked. The brown rice was nice to have with the dishes. Potato with braised peanuts was very nice, potatoes were tender. The long beans were well cooked too but a little salty. Tau kwa was a little cold, but luckily not sour. Each serving of dish I chose was $1.40 each. I think rice was $1.20 or something. Still quite economical.

Value 👉 $0.01 (9 o clock) On the house! Had the pleasure of meeting boss of e-veg @the marina outlet where he bestowed his generosity upon every patron on his shift, likely making an appearance only on 1st and 15th of lunar months 😉 Managed to feedback on the greasiness level in general over at his Vivo branch (重口味 in his exact words) and the use of dairy in certain dishes. Negligible really, mostly making an appearance in fish soup and easily veganizable in this regard. Also his cute lil uncle moments trying to assess my diminishing #carbsforlife request, all the while trying to shovel more rice onto my plate. Had this quite some time ago! this was not as salty/ oily as the usual vegetarian beehoon! The veggies were nice but the tau kwa could do with more seasoning. I think this costed around $4 #veganisnotscary #beehoon

The flies were eyeing my plate! Wish you could smell it from here; dairy free with a subtle coconuty fragrance drenched on #meat -ious chunks of chicken and #longbeans. Heat was shiokaliciously entertaining (lasting a good 5mins before its retreat) #carbsforlife halved is still a whole lotta #grains (one bro show known to be genial and generous). Not too shabby but not too fantastic either. Generous amount of vege,wth mock fish beancurd skin,n some other mock meat. Cooked in an ok tasting white sauce and not too thickened by cornflour. At $5.50 tht’s not too bad for the location. I find their Chai Peng dishes more interesting n delicious.
