Sigh I wish I loved this, but it seems I just can't become friends with this kind of bread they have; it's that sour taste that throws me off. But that's personal and the fillings/toppings were lovely so definitely still give it a chance! Also the interior was so beautiful and the whole vibe just really nice; except for the waiter who was hitting on me lol 💀 #ethiopian #capetown #southafrica #africanfood #vegantravel

Three shared a vegan platter. The food was so tasty! In fact, so tasty that I completely forgot to take the picture until we had almost devoured the dish - sorry!! The restaurant ambience was great, and service relaxed but ultra-helpful, loved it!!

Not the best photo but the light was subdued and flash did not do justice to this delicious offering. So good to dive in, literally hands first, tearing off the flat bread the dishes were sitting on and fill up with hot, spicy, middle Eastern flavours. Beans, lentils, turmeric, ras al hanoot- the whole toot!

Great experience and nice food. The restaurant has just reopened after Covid. We opted for the tasting dish with spinach, salad, chickpea and lentil dish with many more. I couldn’t memorize all of them. Delicious, I highly recommend it for the experience too!

Absolutely delicious and an amazing experience! I recommend getting the authentic injeera over the rice one. My favourite parts are the red lentils and the brown lentils! Second photo in the starter.

So gooood! A crispy rice pancake I think? With a spicy rub, kale and some bean type dip... I think lentils? Anyway SO yum. Very crispy, thin and light.

This Ethiopian food will blow you away and there’s enough to feed a whole family. I love using my hands to pull apart the base (gluten free and made from maize) to dip into all the delicious sides. You’ll be surprised how filling it is and its so much fun to share! Pretty pricey though. #ashers

Ethiopian food is true soul food and the dishes at Addis are full of heart and flavour. The atmosphere and decor is great and the resturant has strongly supported vegan causes, hosting monthly vegan meetings and starting a vegan pop up (based upstairs). The food is sublime and its a must visit to any vegans in Cape Town. You will be suprised by the range of options and wish you knew how to make food taste this good. Note: the building itself is not geared to easy access for wheelchairs so if you are a user I would call up to discuss options #animalsnow

Wow! This was a surprisingly amazing meal! And at 90-something rand it was great value too. The various dishes were varied and delicious injera accompanied all the different veg, tofu and chickpea dishes. I know the pop-up (on the lower level of Addis on Cape) had not been there when we were there (the atmosphere felt a bit like it too) so it would be wise to call ahead and see if they're still there. And yes, the whole buffet is vegan! #greyton
