#yvesveggiecuisine #plantbasedfood #plantbased #vegan #veganisnotscary #veganisnotscary #nongmo #nongmocertified #plantbasedmeat #highiniron I haven’t bought plant-based cold cuts in a long time, but during a recent shopping trip at No Frills, I saw this Yves Veggie Cuisine product on sale for less than $5. Nowadays, the regular price is around $6 or $7. Even though the label calls this product “Ham”, I don’t think it taste anything like ham. But I do think it tastes something like a pepperoni. Regardless, I love the taste, and I think it tastes even better than ham. These ham slices would probably be good on a pizza, but I haven’t tried that yet. I’ve just used these slices as cold cuts in sandwiches. The sodium content is probably my main reason for not having bought this and other plant-based cold cuts in a long time. But to compensate for the high sodium count, this plant-based ham is loaded with a variety of nutrients, like iron, vitamin B12, thiamine, zinc, protein and magnesium. On sale, I will buy this again. But I would be reluctant to pay full regular price.

Wanted to make “ham and cheese” croissant sandwiches for my boyfriend and I couldn’t find the Tofurky ham (why are their products so spread out amongst different stores? 😭) so I decided to give this one a whirl. It is not too bad in the context of a crossiantwich but I don’t care for this product in a cold sand which and wouldn’t recommend it for any non-vegan. The taste is a bit off and the texture is off-putting. Will finish up but not repurchase. $3.49 at Whole Foods #mockmeats #veganham #yves
