Vegan Pesto

A perfecto-vegan-pesto. So pleased to see this in SuperU (France). Their free from (mainly GF/Vegan foods) isle is getting better and better.

One thing you know as an Italian, is that homemade pesto will always taste better, but you’ll never make it because the one you buy is easy, quick and good enough. Not only Sacla’ makes a good pesto, they now make a great vegan pesto that in my opinion tastes even better! If you then add to your pasta a bit of nutritional yeast and some fresh pine nuts, you’ll have a really good pasta with pesto in about 10 minutes time.

I was excited to find new vegan pesto at Fantastico, but I was actually a bit disappointed.. I expected the basil smell to hit me immediately after I open the jar, but it was quite plain.. 🌱 it's made with tofu, which is good, but it needs more aromatic basil.. #veganinbulgaria #veganin2022 #basil

A good basic vegan pesto made with tofu, basil and cashew nuts. I never understand why most vegan pestos don't have nutritional yeast in the ingredients to make it cheesier, but hey, I just add tons of it myself 😁 Not a problem. I like this pesto 👍🌱💚

Very good pesto substitute. Tastes exactly like regular pesto but is a little bit more expensive.
