It’s finally fig season! The green varieties are my favorites, but I still couldn’t resist
picking up a box because I love them all (I think these may be Brown Turkeys, though I’m no expert.) They are somewhat firm and mildly sweet, but not as jammy as I’d like. While they were a bit underwhelming in the flavor department, they make a beautiful addition to charcuterie boards and can be refreshing when eaten with something that’s already sweet.
