Shake Primer

You can probably see from the photo I've used almost all of it. It's in a separated state by default (clear liquid with black sediment), this is after I've used it so it's shaken to make a dark grey liquid. So you know I've followed the directions (including letting it dry before applying shadow) and gave it a real chance when I tell you it DOES NOT WORK. My eyeshadow still creases throughout the day and this is more work/harder to use than a normal cream textured primer! Will not repurchase and do not recommend.

I shook the product before taking the photo so you can see the dark grey it's supposed to be; it separates into clear liquid on top with a black precipitate that settles at the bottom otherwise. There's a button on the bottom of the bottle so you can get one drop at a time; it's watery in texture and feels a bit oily going on. I have oily, deepset eyelids so need primer to hang onto my eyeshadow or it will crease within the hour, and unfortunately this doesn't cut it for longevity. It does help boost the intensity of the color on application, if that's your primary concern, but I've tried this against multiple eyeshadow formulas and not found it to help with wear time which is what I'm after in a primer. Will not repurchase.

It’s the first oil-based primer I’ve used, with the rest being gels or creams. It comes in a dripper bottle with a knob you push to get the product out. You have to shake it pretty vigorously to get the product to mix properly, and it should come out as a small black blob of oil. I’d recommend using your fingers as an application medium so you don’t stumble trying to apply this onto your eyelid and accidentally re-enact your reaction to the ending of gladiator 🥲 How does it work? Well so far I’m incredibly impressed! I experienced minimal fallout even with my super old flimsy brushes!
