seitan

We bought this from #sainsburys for £2.50 in the chilled aisle. I have a friend who is eating this stuff like it’s going out of style, so we had to try it. It crisps up so nicely on the stovetop. I cooked it with onions to go with my lentils in a beetroot wrap. It was yummy! Soft but crispy when cooked nicely with a mild “meaty” flavor, though that doesn’t do the flavor justice. I was not expecting to find a sausage-like tube in the box. there was a funky odor when I opened it, but it went away after I diced it and browned it. this #seitan ended up having a nice flavor and texture. it went great as a ravioli topping. I would buy it again, especially with the #discount sticker 😁 #seitanlover

Tried this for the first time yesterday! Incredibly easy to just tear apart and cook! Obviously needs a little extra seasoning to give it some more flavour but really enjoyed it over all. Still going to visit Temple Of Seitan to have some made by the pros though!

So happy to get a seitan in Tesco, after some disastrous attempts to make it 😬. I really liked this, I roasted it in marg, then added it to a curry. I'd maybe cook it in the sauce for a bit longer next time. Will get again

First time cooking with seitan and very pleasantly surprised by it. It went very well in my stir fry
