plant powered chicken-less pieces

Tried to make some crumbed chikn with these.... Not sure why but I don't like these, there are better products out there I guess.

Very nice product and not too expensive. I would definitely buy it again

Made this with some olive oil and spices in the air fryer. I do not like how it smells, so I shredded it and tried to mask it with mayo, but I did not enjoy the texture. Will maybe try a different way of cooking next time.

Dear @woolworthssa, these are wonderful. I’m so happy you created them. Just a few pieces of advice. I would love it if you would keep them frozen: That way I could keep them stocked up in my freezer. I would love to see a bit more protein packed in. You could take some inspiration from Like Meat’s Like Chicken curry pea protein pieces. Everyone who isn’t Woolworths- popped these in the air fryer for 4 minutes with a bit of. Za’atar and then put them in a wrap with chopped red pepper, cucumber, avo and vegan feta. It was great ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

I see they released these which look nearly the same as the protein strips. They are slightly different. They have a more realistic chicken look and texture. I still love the protein strips because they get nice and crispy when fried, where these have a softer texture. I hope they keep selling both. I suspect more people will prefer these if they notice any difference at all. I feel like these have the tiniest taste or flavour of some sort where the protein strips have no taste at all which I prefer. Either way they both are amazing just with salt and pepper. They go perfectly with any spices, marinades or sauces. Woollies has the best fake chicken products in my opinion, so either way I’ll buy them both continuously.
