I cannot begin to recommend this product enough! I am a big fan of #cheesy
snacks and I used to eat the original non-vegan version a lot in the past.
They launched this vegan version two years ago and honestly it’s even better than I could hoped for. It is so incredibly cheesy and flavourful. The taste is very close to the original, but not exactly the same.
So close that I can’t explain exactly what it is that I find different. I don’t think I would have guessed this #snack was vegan, I probably would have just assumed it was made with a slightly different type of #cheese. They really didn’t hold back on the seasoning used at all but it doesn’t have that ‘sharp’ taste either that some cheeses can have, it’s creamy and delcious tasting.
Texture wise it is exactly as I remember, it has that light and airy crunch if you chew it straight away. It has the perfect melt in your mouth feel, so creamy.
The #cheesepuffs are made of #corn flour and #sunflower oil. Seasoning includes yeast extract, onion, garlic, paprika, tumeric, white pepper and flavourings. Nice level of salt as well.
The packaging design is good, close to the original and clearly #vegan. The bag is larger than the ‘standard’ size they sell here of the original, the price isn’t bad either! They are #palmoilfree.
💵~37 NOK online. Despite Cheez Doodles also being an extremely popular snack in Norway they do not currently sell the vegan version in stores here. Several online shops import them so that’s currently the only way to buy them unless you go to Sweden.
