Battered Fishless Goujons

I’ve eaten quite a few fake fish products recently and initially thought they were a good alternative but I’m not so sure now. The batter is ok but the fish I’m not so sure - a bit tasteless and texture also a bit disappointing. Again, as with a number of these products, they need added flavour such as vinegar and/ or ketchup Maybe I’m being a bit harsh and expecting too much as I would probably buy again just for the convenience

There are plenty of fish alternatives now available to vegans and the Plant Kitchen range offers plenty of excellent varieties. I really enjoyed This works as part of a fish, chips and mushy peas traditional dinner with lots of vinegar and ketchup. I would buy again, in fact, I already have !! It tasted nice but there could have been more effort to make the texture better (Standards are high since tasting vegan fish cake in Brockley’s Rock - which is super realistic and tasty)

Delicious “fish” goujons that are incredible with pickles/tartare sauce. Probably could fool a fish eater with these
