Banana Cake

I bought this cake in April and finally thawed it and dug in this week. It has made at least two rounds at ALDI so my guess it that it and its counterparts (a chocolate cake and a carrot cake) will make a reappearance. The cake is super calorie dense, as there is 12 servings listed and the cake is the size of my (admittedly large) hand. Though rich, I did enjoy the creamy top layer that was dusted with walnut shavings. I found the bottom/crust layer to be pretty dry and crumbly. The banana flavor is nice! This is definitely for those with a #sweettooth It is pretty rad that ALDI offers these types of creamy cakes in a vegan variety as it’s not something you find on the market very often. I’d be up for trying the carrot cake version but I don’t think I’d repurchase this one. $7.99 at ALDI #bananacake #cake #vegancake #aldiusa

This cake was incredibly delicious. Amazing flavor great soft moist texture. Also almost ready to eat all you have to do is thaw it for a couple hours. Just little expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

Loved the Carrot Cake so had to try the Banana Cake! Once again, delicious! Really impressed with #aldi The cake looks exactly like the box and has a great banana flavor.The icing is good too, even after being frozen. You really can't go wrong with this. #veganin2021

As an avid banana lover, I was so excited to discover this at Aldi! It’s a banana cake with dairy-free “cream cheese” with walnuts sprinkled on top! I think it’s great, but could use a little less “cream cheese” because it overpowers the banana. It’s also pretty sweet and pricey, at about $7 for a 14 oz cake.

Hadn’t heard of banana cake until I saw this in Aldi. Such a yummy treat! Serving sizes for this little cake are pretty small by the way. I kept it in my freezer and would cut a slice when I felt like having a cold dessert. The icing to me tasted like regular icing rather than a cream cheese icing.
