I knew that Bacos were vegetarian but I haven’t seen them in years (or really thought of them either). Was watching a vegan cooking video recently and they used this brand and it got me craving “bacon” bits! These crunchy, smoky and savory bits are so satisfying. They are basically flavored and baked/dried pieces of TVP. They add a nice crunchiness to salads and I bet they’d also be nice added to the top of Mac n cheese or a loaded potato. Healthy? Perhaps not but they are a fun and tasty add on that’s not going to break the bank. If you’re sensitive to liquid smoke flavor or don’t like bacon, then skip it - otherwise I think you’d enjoy them.
The original flavor is just as good as the Apple wood
I love these little bacon bits! I put them on salads, beans, asparagus, baked potatoes, Brussels sprouts…literally anything!
I LOVED these growing up and was so glad to realize they were vegan as an adult! Really fun, crunchy, and great on baked potatoes or "egg" sandwiches! 🙏
