I love samosas so I was excited to try The Howe's samosa wrap special that they created for the Vegan Chef Challenge. I was hoping it would pretty much be reminiscent of a giant samosa, but I didn't feel that it was quite there. The tortilla wrap was soft unlike the nice crunchy shell of a traditional samosa. I think adding something for texture would have been good, because it was all pretty mushy. There was also lettuce in the wrap which seemed like a weird combination to me. The other filling was pretty tasty, but seemed a bit light on the potato that is so important in a samosa. The chutney was sweet and provided a nice variety of flavors. It was also served with undressed salad leaves which was a bit strange and maybe just for presentation. #indianfood #potatolover #tcveganchef #veganchefchallenge #wrap
This was The Howe’s offering for the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge, and it was incredibly tasty! It’s a flour tortilla filled with potatoes, peas, red peppers, onions, tossed in a curry sauce and served with a side of mango chutney for dipping.
