Very mediocre. Only good thing was that it was not too sweet. Just a plain cake with a slice of (maybe canned) peach on top. The cake texture was not fluffy, rather compact and dry, get stuck on teeth when you eat it. Maybe that's why it was $5.
When I first saw Gobi Desserts’ posters on Facebook I was very sceptical… mostly because of the aesthetics of the posters and also bc I’ve never heard of this place. Came across it while walking in Chinatown and I was shocked to see that it was a homely looking cafe with customers LOL This peach cake was $5, oddly their vegan cakes are all displayed outside. Wasn’t warmed up when served. Has a ‘my non-vegan aunt baked this for me’ kinda feel. The outer crust is a little tough. There’s a slight kueh taste but I’d like to try their apple pie next time!
