A typical dish found throughout the Canary Islands, this stew is based on #chickpeas and
in this case, #mushrooms. The #garbanzos were cooked to perfection, firm but soft, and the broth of #parsley, #onion, #redpepper and #garlic was thick and ready to be sopped up with some bread. We split this between two with another plate and were totally satisfied. Priced at 6€ - #veganonabudget dish.
This amazing family restaurant is not shy about sharing that they have typical Canarian food with vegan options. This is home-cooked, comfort food at it best. The service is friendly, the menu clearly marked with several dishes with vegan options. Vilaflor is a pretty little town, one of the highest in altitude in Spain continuously inhabited since the 1500s - well worth a visit and a meal at this super-vegan-friendly locale!
