Strawberry nasi lemak

Strawberry nasi lemak sounds very unique and I ordered it in advance as it's not a permanent menu item. But I was quite disappointed honestly. The chilli which is supposed to have the strawberry flavour was very spicy for me even though I asked for less spicy, it was bitter and not very yummy, though it went well with the rice. It was nice basmati rice but the rice was not lemak enough. The mock ikan bilis was very nice and crispy and went well with the peanuts. The mock fish was very nice and tasted quite healthy. I think this is healthier than nasi lemak you'll get at a hawker centre but for $9.50 quite disappointing. Also no veggies other than cucumber. I found their western dishes more worth it so far. Still I will definitely come back as they have some fantastic dishes and a fantastic boss. @veganspicegirl #vegbuddies #veganisnotscary 🎃

Not sure why it's called strawberry nasi lemak. Many of these specials are not on the menu. The chili sambal is good and spicy and the mock ikan bilis really crispy
