This is their salad bowl, but half-sized.
You get some potatoes, roasted beets, beans, red quinoa, broccoli with tahini, slaw, olives, chickpea polenta, scrambled tofu, and some dips. Served with some bread. An absolute winner: Every single item was amazing
The Black Cat are extremely generous with their portions, which works out if you have company or an appetite, but they can offer a smaller bowl at half price. Which was still a lot.
I’m so pleased to find a fully vegan cafe in london that’s run as a cooperative. We certainly need more of these spaces in the world. The black cat not only serves great food. They’re an amazing space for anyone, with books and records etc for sale: proceeds from merch and books go towards for refugee and Palestinian solidarity charities.
I just love when a cafe extends their vegan ethic beyond their menu.
