Rice Dumpling

They have 2 different types of #ricedumpling on offer now! This, their regular #brownrice dumpling per usual and a newer one with glutinous rice — I’ll review that next time I’m here 😋 It had a generous amount of #fakemeat, a litter of #chickpeas and one measly #mushroom cap 🍄 Absolutely amazing though 😇 This is really one of the best #plantbased establishments #Penang has to offer 🙌 #veganisnotscary #penangvegan

A run-of-the-mill, solid, four-star 肉粽 ( #ricedumpling is a misleading translation for which non-chopstick wielders like @dafnelately are responsible 🤪) Came with boiled chestnut, #mushroom, and big chunks of #fakemeat 😋

I’ve taken the liberty of calling this a “rice dumpling” since neither @stevenneoh or @synthwave0470 could settle on the right way for calling it 😛 Apparently #bakzhang isn’t too accurate for a rice dumpling without any #fakemeat 🤷‍♀️ Sounds pretty fake meat to even care to begin with 🏃‍♀️💨 This was really really really good though. Chestnuts 🌰 and mushrooms 🍄 galore! Beats the lot of vegetarian #zongzi that try to swap the usual porky filling for omnimeat or the likes, not that that’s too bad either - it takes skill to prepare a bad one 😜
