Plant-based Chicken Mayo Toastie

Not terrible, not fantastic. Just a standard toasted “chicken” mayo. Tasted good but could definitely benefit from some tomato and other flavours. R75 does seem a bit pricey for a sandwich but is a good option when you’re hungry and need something quick. Filling did seem a bit light compared to other times I’ve had it. Would order again though 🌱

Plant based toasted chicken mayo. It is vegan!! They use @onthegreensidesa chicken fillets and B-well mayonnaise. Both are local products 🇿🇦 It is a generously filled toastie and incredibly tasty 😋. Decently priced too. Definitely will be seeing more of each other. 😃 #veganchicken #vegantakeaway

This is an excellent example of how vegans can bring about change. This was initially marketed for vegetarians as the mayo and butter wasn't vegan. Lots of outcry and pleading on social media by the vegan community and Vida switched the mayo and butter out to vegan alternatives. And I'm thrilled to say it is delicious and good value for money. A generous toastie made with a lovely wholegrain bread and packed with @onthegreensidesa chicken and B-well creamy mayo. I'll definitely be buying this again! #vegantakeaway #veganchicken
