🐻Brownies are probably one of the more common vegan bakes. And also one of the ones I tend not to go for as I'm not a fan of super dense textures. 🤭So one day I finally got to try Lilac Oak brownies. I'd say it's one of those brownies that doesn't give me a sore throat. 🍫The cocoa is strong, and the way I like it - bitter undertones, that are hardly covered by sugar. Super fudgy and decadent brownies (not chewy or cakey), made with melted Valrhona Guanaja 70% dark chocolate couvertures instead of cocoa powder! 🍫 I did wish for the salt flakes to be dialled down just a bit, but overall I loved the rich chocolate-y taste that wasn't cloyingly or artificially sweet, plus there were also grilled bitter notes. Also impressed by the texture; non-veg companions and I found these indistinguishable from traditional brownies made with egg and dairy! 😍 Immediately placed an order a tray for an upcoming Christmas potluck party with a whole bunch of non-veg people hehe.
