Two-part verdict: delicious and hefty. First, the cinnamon-sugar combo, with the banana, was certainly sweet,
but not overwhelming. The texture of the “toast” part resembled coffee cake. The syrup and strawberry sauce on the side both work with the whole ensemble, but I didn’t need much of either sauce.
Second, the serving is big and the food itself is filling! You can order the toast with a side of plant-based sausage, which complements the dish well and makes it more substantial.
Note: Although the Tonga Toast is typically not plant-based, our server confirmed with the chef that it can be made plant-based.
