Japanese Deep-fried Ube Fish

Shaped like a large taiyaki and containing slightly-sweet taro, this is one surprisingly filling (and okay, yes, kinda greasy) dish. The flaky, ephemeral golden pastry casing rests on a sparse bed of salad bits and bobs. Go slowly as it'll fill you up real fast! Honestly, a huge indulgence that is largely motivated by the novelty and cute shape. But hey, it's not bad (is anything that's deep-fried?).
