beyond steak and cheese

i am not going to lie, this was not my favorite sandwich. i don’t know exactly what i was expecting, but this was not it. in retrospect, it is likely my fault for not adding on additional sauces, but i have never had a “steak and cheese” sandwich and generally didn’t expect it to require addons in order to be good. the bread was fine, but the plain steak and plain cheese was underwhelming and under seasoned. the cheese could not save the severe dryness of the steak because it was all packed into the bottom of the sandwich and was not equally distributed. i was able to eat this by dipping it into a lot of ketchup for moistness, but it overall was not something i would order again. for steak and cheese fans, i may have just been eating this wrong without extra sauce, but i was not aware of this 😭
