Banh Mi

Tofu banh Minh. Liked that the sauce was not too spicy, and there were some herb leaves to make it taste more Vietnam food like. Will reorder when I’m back

Likely the less banh mi-ish banh mi I’ve ever had.. The sandwich in itself wasn’t bad, but if it’s a banh mi you’re looking for I can only recommend you not to order this! The bread is filled with tofu pieces and a bit of veggies covered with industrial (overtly) sugary chili sauce. This is clearly not a masterpiece nor elaborated sandwich. But to be fair once again, it’s really not awful in itself, just not a banh mi :) The portion seems quite small but it’s surprisingly feeling! PS: was all the more disappointed as I asked for them to put the sandwich in the lunchbox I brought to avoid a bunch of disposable plastic packaging but the waitress told me it wouldn’t fit in. So she gave it to me in a plastic box inside a plastic bag (which I explicitly asked not to have as I planned eating out just few meters away) when in fact the sandwich would have fit into my lunchbox 😢 I guess we still have a long way to go in making restaurants and retailers more familiar with the #byo concept!

This is one of my fav vegetarian banh mi. Just nice for a lighter lunch, or for dinner.
