Comforting soup that is not loaded with msg. Lots of ingredients even though it’s on a pricey side $8 but worth it. Noodles has a bit of oil added on it but that’s my personal preference and prefer it without.
Just like their usual Bak Kut Teh with brown rice, this time they have a new version with noodles. I do.like this version as the noodles are soft and come mixed with a braised gravy that is yummy. #bakkutteh #localdish #noodles
This is a dark herbal version of Bak Kut Teh accompanied by the quinessential red cut chillie in dark soy sauce. I like this more than the peppery version. The portion is generous with organic vegetables - carrot, turnip, sweet corn, ladies fingers and tau kwa (firm bean curd). Due to customer demand, they put mock mutton but you can request to omit and the aunty happily obliges. It is served with hot fluffy brown rice. A real treat! #bakkutteh #darksoysauce #herbalsoup #firstdishreview
